Based in Madrid, Carlos is a key member of the financial services practice group at Boyden Spain.

He has extensive executive search experience, joining Boyden after serving another global search firm as leader of its financial services practice, encompassing banking, insurance, asset management, and real estate. He has also completed assignments for CEO, COO and CFO positions in retail, consumer goods, industry and not-for-profit.

Prior to entering the search industry, Carlos held top-tier positions in some of the world's largest and most highly-regarded financial institutions, including Banco de Vizcaya, and the corporate and private banking division at Lloyd's Bank. He finally served as Executive Director, Capital Markets and Managing Director, Corporate and Investment Banking, at Citibank/Citigroup where he worked for 14 years.

Carlos has a law degree from the UAMadrid, and an MBA in international banking from the Manchester Business School (UK). A Spanish national, Carlos is fluent in English and French.
